Little surprised you did that. All I was seeking to do was prevent you from moving that pawn there, since it would cause some irritation in the plan I was setting up. By moving there now, I get two pawns for one... which immediately converts into me getting a queen.

Rephrase: Not a way out but an even trade, anyways. But Qc2 was the only way to keep your queen alive, which is fairly vital to your chances of forcing a draw.

Although technically you do have a temporary way out of this, lol.

I must admit I didn't anticipate your Qe1 move. I had a whole sequence planned out involving Qc1 as for some reason I thought that was your only available move. ^^;

You could have pushed me pretty hard by following up the trade with Qc2. I could defend against it but just barely, and the slightest error would have evened the scales a bit for you.

Further analysis tells me that this WAS my plan, lol. From what I had looked at, the only good move for you was a trade of rooks. Although you may yet be able to escape this, we'll see. I didn't give much thought to this line as I expected you to trade rooks with me and try to push away my domination of your queenside.

Yeah you just don't have enough pieces in play to pull the attack off. A free move or two and you'd be golden.

I wanted you to make that move but I didn't see your first post. I've spent the last 20 minutes trying to figure out how you avoid losses here, let alone gain advantage.

I'm glad I didn't knee jerk that one. :P Crafty move and I almost screwed myself over, but I decided to look at it and realized that it's an aggressive gambit that is at most an even exchange, possibly a benefit for me if you pursue it.
