The "zig-zag" you had at move 21 was strong(despite not being able to move the bishop), but the row at move 24 was weak.
If you can keep them all on the same color, pawns can defend each other.
I would work to get bishops and pawns off the back row to open the ability to castle.

ahh i see... so what would you have done differently with the pawns? And thank you! I've been thinking more strategically about my moves more and i'm learning a lot by watching other peoples moves and trying them out in different games

You've made a vast improvement in a short amount of time though.
I would say it was all those pawn moves that hurt you this time. They gave me a lot of time to move around freely.

I think I had 8 or 9 in a row, but I ended up having more black games than white played over a lengthy period of time. It doesn't "feel" random, to the human mind simply because humans look for patterns, and to us randomness is the absence of repetition.

It has been brought up before. 5 whites in a row does not seem very random, hard to tell if that is a bug.
It always does workout in the long run though.
