I'm pretty sure that I avoided your checkmate options, though, and that should allow my material advantage to win me this. Unless I catastrophically fail like I did last game, lol.

That was close... If I didn't gain that tempo your checkmate was inevitable.

Yeah I haven't been able to tell at all for a while, lol. It's very up in the air right now... I suspect that you will win, despite the material advantage I possess. That material advantage has only succeeded in opening up the board for you.

Funny, about 6 moves ago i thought i had loss. By the next move i thought i had won. Now i just cant tell.

Yeah. It was interesting. My refusal to take part in your middle possession somewhat stymied the benefit you gain from the control. Now that pieces are being traded, though, the power of your middle ground should be much more significant, provided that you can hold on to it.

I found it difficult to make any progress in the middle.

Giving you the middle to set up my bishop angles was... Interesting. I don't think I ever got quite that far in setting that up in my games with Nick and Justin.

It should. I will probably lose this rather badly. I've played this weird type of game against Nick and Justin regularly to great success. I'm curious to see how differently it plays out against you.

Ahh yes i remember thinking i had no hope otherwise. Also there was a point in the middle game when i thought you could have won the centre.

Moving my rook away from the left side of the board gave you the chance and tempo you needed to win. I had forgotten why I needed to keep it over there. Ah, well.
