No problem Mike. I understand that you are busy. Yes I am in China and have been travelling, meeting old friends, etc.

Dr. Roe is teaching it. If you want to do some self learning, you can read Crandall-Pomerance Prime Numbers: A computational approach. I am also reading Cohen's A Course in Computational Algebraic Number Theory. My term paper is on computing galois groups, so I am using Cohen right now, and I prefer it to Crandall, but Crandall is the best straight computational number theory book I have come across so far.

yeah, sorry I haven't emailed you yet. I have been so busy lately that I just haven't gotten around to it, though I haven't forgot.

I have to admit I am jealous. Had my eye on that one. Who is teaching?

wow, what a cluster fuck. By the way, I'm taking computational number theory, and I'm really enjoying it. I think you would like it too.... well, you would definitely have to top mark in the class by a mile, so it would be to easy for you, but it gives a chance to see some of the factoring algorithms and encryption/decryption methods used. Most of it is fairly modern, so the field is wide open as far as creating new stuff goes.
