This game now feels a lot like our games of old, when you were both new to this site. I'm playing the board possession game that used to be my hallmark. It's funny, though, looking at it. My play style has dramatically changed from back them, largely through playing against you. This site really is a good way to learn.

yep, no more standard movements for me. I'd rather risk everything and lose, then play defensive and win. Even though this sacrificing pawn strategy isn't working against John, I am seeing lines that I never considered before. For example, my last game with John presented a set-up that was similar to the 4 move checkmate, however John was to clever to let me form the attack.

This match has a very different feel to it than most of our recent ones. Usually it is a slow, circling dance... this one is slash slash slash, aggression and offense from the start.
