Ahhh, fair enough. For me I lost sight of that pawn and was blindsided by your queen move before. Had me scrambling.

In the opening, I didn't do well-- Nh4, f3 were aimless. So before your Bf5, I couldn't see any way to strengthen my position.

Hi Devin, I think I posted a message two days ago regarding your question, but it didn't show up here. So let's me say it again: if you played a6 instead of Nb4, then I'd just play Rc1. My plan was Rc1, Bd3/Bb5, O-O/Kf2, etc.

I want my king to die to one queen, not two, lol.

As it stands now, I've given you a free move, which given I've already given you a free pawn, is quite likely to spell my quick end, lol.

Yep, you saw it. Darn, lol. Anyways, what I wanted to ask you about was... what if I had played a6 first? I think that I could have come out ahead had I done that.

I may have moved too early on this one. Afterwards, I want to ask you about an alternative sequence of moves and see what you think of it.

Mmmm, you're right. Bg6 would have been a better move.

I think Bg6 is the right move. I haven't played well in the opening so far, but if you make a mistake like that, then...
