I just realized I made a mistake there. Nothing wrong with the move, stalls your plan, but not nearly as effective as another move I could have made.

Yeah. The dark bishop gave you staying power, but not enough to be able to force me into a stalemate. The versatility of the knight won through, but it took me a tonne of moves to maneuver to be able to use it properly.

indeed that dark bishop proved to be a disadvantage. I was thinking that queen move was doom as well. It became apparent as soon as your knight jumped up. at one point earlier when your knight first moved to e3, i was going to trade but decided not too. oh well.

That f2 pawn has been a ROCK. I can't believe how strong that is, tactically. Combined with e4, as long as I defend both, I'm completely immune to check. That pawn structure won me this game, I think, as much as the extra pawn.

Qd4 was doom, I think. Qe2 for sure.

Btw, now that it's too late... Qb6 rather than b2 screws me. Defends the pawn and sets up a strong attack on my knight & king.
