Game 36: History

Yeah. I don't entirely blame you though. It was NOT obvious that I'd be able to just walk through you because of that move. It took me a while to figure out how to guarantee the checkmate on you. You could have slowed it down by sacrificing your knight, but aside from that it was an inescapable checkmate once your queen moved out of the way.

That is true. I was too desperate to get on the offensive.

Move 29 ended you. 27 hurt you, but 29 was the end of the game.

Doomed since about 5 moves back.

Checkmate!

Yeah that's why I put them there. I've never tried controlling the field from the side of the board. Was a very interesting turn of events... especially since my original plan was to get my queen to the right side. But my bishop/queen combo ended up winning me this match, as you're checkmated in a few.

It was the queen and bishop along the side early on. They really limited my choices.

Dangerous way to play chess!

I really have not had much of a plan at any point in this game, just responding to threats.
Devin

Oh my bad, you can actually avoid it.

Checkmate in two, unless you figure out something that I don't see here.

I just saw that one, thanks. I plan on doing something about that this weekend along with promotion and en passant.

I sent Justin a text with a screen of the error.
