When you and your enemy strike simultaneously, you must attach your sword to his with stickiness, and hold your swords together so that they do not separate, and you absorb his blow. The spirit of the application of glue is not to hit out with great strength. Rather the point is to make it impossible for the swords to separate easily. Do this as calmly as you can while adhering strongly to the enemy's sword. The difference between "stickiness" and "entanglement" is that stickiness is steadfast and entanglement is weak. This must be appreciated.
