Game 230: History

If you brought your queen down to b2 in order to threaten g7, you can't put check on my king with the attack, so the move Rb8 forces your queen to flee to A3 or exchange your queen for my rook and a pawn. The mistake was taking my b2 pawn. I baited you into that. Taking my c-file pawn helped too, but by taking my b2 pawn you actually activated my a-file rook. We were pretty much equal on material at that point in time, but I had every single piece activated whereas you had a rook and a knight that were pretty much useless. My double rook activation advantage in a game as blasted open as this one is what ended it. A few nice baits helped too.
