This game is starting to remind me of my game with you father. So close to checkmate and yet still so bloody far, lol. It's been 8 days since I thought I had him in checkmate. I will FINALLY checkmate him after he moves again, lol.

My knight was moved to get my queen over to the right, I guess you were planning to move your knight to D5? Protecting it was not quite my plan, I mostly wanted it ready once I figured out what your queen was doing.

So bringing your queen to attack the low was a dangerous decision because it was so easily countered. As long as I properly counter it (like I did), best case scenario for you is that I get a free move. But when you retreat not back the way you came, but lock yourself in the left side, you give me the opportunity to start a buildup to take your queen for free, and at the least completely remove her from play. Try to keep your queen as mobile as possible and move her deep only when you're confident that the plan will end in gains.

I'm wondering Nick... did you make that knight move for the right reason or the wrong reason? It WAS one of your better available moves despite how it turned out but I'm wondering if you did it because you saw what would happen if you didn't or if it was sheer luck. :P (Note: if you didn't, your queen was mine.)

Ahahaha. I made a mistake. I should have moved my queen to c3 and let you take my pawn. Would have ended poorly for you if you took my pawn.
